Music Ministry at |
| We here at First Church are blessed with a strong tradition of music ministry both in Sunday worship and in special concerts and events throughout the year. Ours is a graded program, with participation from early primary years through octogenarians and beyond. We walk a blended path of praise, with music ranging from classical to contemporary. We hope that you will take a moment to read about the groups here at our church and maybe even consider joining one that appeals to you. Also noted are events offered in the coming year. We are grateful for your support of Music Ministry at First Presbyterian through your prayers and participation. |
For more info, see our Concerts page.
| The Chancel Choir is open to any adult and college age singers who can match pitch and follow a line of music. It is directed by Director of Music Ministries Jim Regin. The Chancel Choir meets regularly on Thursday evenings from September through May. Rehearsals are from 7:15 - 8:45 p.m. most weeks, with extensions occurring before Christmas and Easter to accommodate preparation for concerts and special services. The choir sings each Sunday in worship as well as participating in two concerts per year which typically feature a major work with orchestra. The annual retreat in the fall is a good time of fellowship and music making. |
