Stewardship
In a month when our church is celebrating God's faithfulness to us over the many decades of the church's life, we will soon turn to embracing the future that God has for us as his people at First Pres. Come for a special adult forum on our faithful response to God as we look at issues of stewardship in our lives, including insights from the Scriptures on having all of life in line with God's purposes.

Bible Study

Our Bible Study Class begins in mid-September and continues through to mid-April. This Cokesbury study uses a simple format (similar each week) that will appeal to all individuals no matter what their Bible experience has been. The series is designed to cover the Bible in 5 years, and each week's lesson is self-contained.

The lessons this year focus on God's creation of a people, his call to the Christian community, and his covenant with his people, touching on Genesis, Luke, 1 & 2 Chronicles, Daniel, Haggai, and Nehemiah. (See the schedule of scriptures and topics for the year.)

Sally Beck, Earl & Rebekah Borah, Jim & Carolyn Keehner, and John Neal comprise the study's leadership team. Since there is no homework or required reading, participants will enjoy the study if they are attending for the first time, are returning after missing a few weeks, or have been to each class. A student book is available for $5 to each person for study during the week if desired. Sharing at class is encouraged but not required -- those who want to just listen and learn should come and enjoy the experience.
